Reform Bar Mitzvah
According to Jewish tradition, age 13 is perceived as the determining age for accepting the yoke of observance and responsibility for the Caymans, and for joining the alumni audience. The celebration of the Reform Bar Mitzvah ceremony for boys at the age of 13, is in line with the Jewish tradition and is intended to preserve and strengthen the Jewish identity and commitment to the Jewish tradition. We find previous references that confirm the notion that a 13-year-old boy reaches a significant and formative moment in his life and moves into the adult world of Judaism. Holding a Reform Bar Mitzvah ceremony gives the family and the teenager an extensive and flexible space.
